MANCHESTER - Looking to stock up on some kosher shopping but can't be bothered to trek miles to find somewhere to stock up on? Or maybe you are near a kosher grocery store, but can't be bothered to carry your goods home? Well, a Manchester-based grocery store is offering kosher products across the whole of the United Kingdom.
J.A.Hyman (Titanics) from Manchester was established in 1913 by Joseph Abraham Hyman who survived the 1912 Titanic sinking. While in America, he saw a deli and decided he would come back to England and set up his own version.
He become a bit of a local celebrity following his return as people knew him as the man who survived the Titanic and hence the Titanic name become associated with his business.
Since 1913, the store has become an institution of Jewish North West England and is still owned by his family.
A full range of products from fresh meat to frozen as well as chilled goods and tins and packets are on offer. All can be sent from Manchester on a regular basis depending on the area.
While local shoppers can take advantage of free delivery, those living further a field can pay only 10 UK Pounds to get a courier to deliver their shopping next day before 5pm, though frozen products cannot be delivered through this method. For an additional five UK Pounds orders can be delivered before noon.
