Swiss to enjoy Nestle Israel ice cream
Israeli plant of Swiss food giant to export popsicles to Switzerland
Like selling ice to Eskimos? The Israeli plant of Swiss food giant Nestle will be exporting its "Nok Out" ice cream bars to Switzerland.
The popsicles will be marketed in Switzerland under the brand name "Heaven." The ice cream bars will also be advertised on Swiss television.
Company officials estimate that the exportation of the ice cream will total more than one million dollars this year.
At this time Nestle Israel exports its products to the United States, France, Britain, South Africa, and other countries. The latest development marks the first time the plant will be exporting to Switzerland.
"The exportation to Switzerland is a sign of appreciation for the plant's quality and standards," said Nestle Israel CEO Yehudi Lipman.
Notably, the "Nok Out" brand is a joint development of the global Nestle and Nestle Israel. The brand includes a series of six ice cream bars marketed as super-premium products and featuring vanilla, vanilla cookies, strawberry, peanuts and caramel, white chocolate and chocolate-nut flavors.
