Germany: Halutz apologized over incident in Lebanon

German Defense Minister Franz Josef Jung said the IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Dan Halutz had "expressed his regret" on Friday to his German counterpart, regarding the incident in which Israeli warplanes allegedly fired shots at German troops that were part of UNIFIL force in Lebanon.

"I don't expect any repeat of such an incident," Jung said late Friday on ZDF television. (AP)
