American Informatica to purchase Israeli Itemfield

American software provider Informatica expected to purchase Israeli start-up Itemfield for USD 50 million

US-based data integration software provider Informatica Corp. is expected to purchase Israeli start-up ItemField Inc., a maker of data transformation software, for an estimated USD 50 million.

 

Itemfield was founded in 2000 and has seen investments of USD 18 million by venture capital funds Gemini, Evergreen, Excel, and Microdent Ventures.

 

Informatica Corporation is a provider of enterprise data integration software and generates its revenues from sales of software licenses and services, which consist of maintenance, consulting and education services. It is currently being traded on NASDAQ for a value of more than USD 1 billion.

 

Itemfield is a developer of software in the field of inter-organizational information systems which enables transforming content from one software platform to another. Itemfield's headquarters is located in California, and has a branch in New York, as well as a center in Tel Aviv.

 

Informatica sells its products in Israel using the Aman company, and this is the first time the company has acquired a development center in Israel.
