Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas rejected on Saturday Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh’s proposal to declare a 20-year truce (hudna) with Israel in exchange for the establishment of a Palestinian state within temporary borders.
Abbas said he hopes to meet with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert before the end of the year. (AP)
