Africa Israel sells office building in NY
Israeli investment group sells 37-story office building near New York Stock Exchange for USD 325 mil, with projected profit of USD 55 million
Africa Israel Investments Group, an Israeli company run by Lev Leviev, has signed an agreement for the sale of an office building on Wall Street in New York City, for USD 325 million.
This deal is expected to earn the company a profit of USD 55 million.
The office building, containing 37 floors and located near the stock market, was purchased by Africa Israel in September 2005 for USD 212 million.
Recently, the company has sold a number of assets in New York, including part of the rights to the Atlantic Court project in Brooklyn, New York, and the 15 Broad Street project designed by Philip Stark.
The company stated that it continues to view New York City in particular, and the United States in general, as its preferred market.
At the start of January the company issued bonds in the total sum of NIS 250 million (about USD 59 million) at a 4.65 percent interest rate.
