'How many Jews did mama kill?'

Hamas TV airs interview with children of female Palestinian suicide bomber

Two young children of a female Palestinian suicide bomber were interviewed on al-Aqsa TV, operated by Hamas, last week, and asked to count the number of Jews murdered by their mother.

The video clip and the transcript of the interview has been translated by MEMRI and can be viewed on the organization's website.

Rim Al-Riyashi blew herself up in January 2005 at the Karni border crossing between Gaza and Israel, killing four Israelis.

During the broadcast, a smiling interviewer employing a gentle voice asked the young children to count the number of Israelis their mother had killed in the attack.

"Let's talk with the two children of the jihad-fighting martyrdom-seeker Rim Al-Riyashi - Dhoha and Muhammad," the interviewer said. "Dhoha, you love mama, right? Where did mama go?" he asked. "To paradise," answered the little girl.

"What did mama do?" the interviewer asked her. "She committed martyrdom," the child replied.

"She killed Jews, right? How many Jews did mama kill?" the children were asked.

"This many," replied the suicide bomber's son, Muhammad, holding out his hand with all fingers outstretched.

"How many is that?" the interview said. "Five," Muhammad replied.

After being prompted to begin a recitation, the girl said: "In the name of Allah the Merciful the Compassionate. When comes the help of Allah, and victory, and you see people entering the religion of Allah in troops, then celebrate the praise of your Lord, and ask his forgiveness, for he is ever ready to show mercy."

At the end of the broadcast, the interviewer turned to the girl and said: "Do you want to go to mama?"

"Yes," she replied.
