The Prayer/ Music and lyrics: Daniel Zamir
(I) (am a pauper), riding a donkey
Trying not to fall into
The castle in the sand
Of time that has ended
Of everything that has passed
Of what was, that was
Of what will be tomorrow
Will you laugh, will you cry
Will you fall or will you rise
Will you leave, will you come
Will you want and hope
If you try to always move in the direction of good
If we hold on together and not let go
And not surrender to all the evil surrounding us
We will yet see Tel Aviv bloom
And then maybe even there in Mea Shearim they will start to untangle the knots
And join the celebration
What has happened to me
What did I have
Heal me, save me
Fair and modest one
So what will become of us my friends
Who knows until when
When we go back to being together soon
When we reach the end
In our land of Zion and Jerusalem
