New project: Low-priced TA apartments for high tech workers

Acquisition group to build residential complex in heart of Tel Aviv, near Azrieli Center. Only high tech workers will be eligible to purchase apartments in new project

A residential complex for high tech workers is set to be built in the heart of Tel Aviv. The complex, which will include two 30-story towers, will be constructed by an acquisition group and is set to become one of the largest projects of its kind.

The project will be built in cooperation with leading high tech companies including Check Point, Comverse, Motorola, NICE, ECI and Microsoft , which recommended the project to their employees.

A month after the project went on the market, 170 apartments had already been purchased.

The new complex, called Central Park, is located close to the Azrieli Center and to Check Point's new compound.

The complex is set to include 330 residential units, a swimming pool, kindergartens, underground parking lots and a big park.

According to Tel Aviv's Chief Engineer Hezi Berkovitch, the municipality will build a 6-acre park near the project.

The project is open for high tech workers, or those who had worked in the field for 12 consecutive months during the last 30 months.

A 2.5 room, 91 square meter apartment with a 10 square meter balcony will cost $205,000. A 4-room, 136 square meter apartment with a balcony will cost $300,000.

The project, which should be completed by 2012, will be built by the Tidhar company.
