Holiday gifts with a purpose

Ahead of the High Holidays Matan offers a catalog of gifts made by special-needs populations. Proceeds will be donated to non-profit community organizations

Ahead of the High Holidays, Matan, Your Way to Give, issued a catalog of holiday gifts featuring products made by individuals with special needs, the mentally ill and at-risk youths. The goal is to encourage companies and business to purchase gifts for their employees and help support the effort of non-profit organizations that operate in the community.

 

Products featured in the catalog include specialized soap made by Mifa'al Yadaim (Factory of Hands) that employs individuals with special-needs, preparing them for the mainstream job market; ceramic and artistic magnets made by autistic adults at Ofarim Village; cookies and baked goods made by children at-risk at Neveh Hana; art by members of A Different Rehab that helps mentally ill individuals.

 

Matan is a non-profit organization which was founded by founded by Shari Arison and the Ted Arison Family Foundation. It deals with strengthening the civil involvement of business and companies through building partnerships that focus on a responsibility to the greater good of the community.
