Man suspected of photographing nude children
Police arrest 28-year pedophile wandering around Tel Aviv beach, taking pictures of children not wearing their swimsuits
The police arrested a 28-year-old pedophile on Monday for allegedly taking pictures of nude children at a Tel Aviv beach.
The man, who was released from jail only a year ago for molesting a minor, was caught due to the awareness of one of the bathers at the beach.
The man was questioned and admitted to the offenses, claiming that he photographed the children for his personal satisfaction.
On Monday evening, one of the bathers spotted a man wandering around the beach holding a cellular phone with a built-in camera. The man approached small children swimming without their bathing suits on.
The bather suspected that the man was taking pictures of the nude children and alerted municipality inspectors. The inspectors, who had also noticed the suspect's strange behavior, notified the police, and the man was arrested.
The phone seized by the police contained photographs of the children which the suspect managed to take during this tour of the beach.
The Tel Aviv Police discovered that following his recent release from prison, a number of complaints had been filed against the suspect over alleged sex offenses. Therefore, the police did not settle for the man's admission and called on citizens who witnessed the pedophile's acts to contact the police and deliver a testimony.
