US government has bin Laden videotape, analyzing

The US government has obtained a copy of a new videotape of al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and is analyzing it, a US official said on Friday.

“We can confirm that the US government has the video and it is being analyzed,” he official said on condition of anonymity. A US Intelligence official said, “We’re analyzing it. We need to take a look at it to see whether it’s old or new, and we’re doing it very quickly." (Reuters)
