Shlomit Amichai to be appointed director-general of Education Ministry
Shlomit Amichai, director-general of the Association for the Development and Advancement of Manpower in the Social Services in Israel, agreed to Minister of Education Yuli Tamir's request that she replace the outgoing director-general of the Education Ministry, Shmuel Abuav.
According to Tamir, Amichai, who served as head of the Education Ministry in the past, is "one of the best and most appreciated director-generals to have led the ministry. I have no doubt that together we will lead this organization to meaningful accomplishments." (Moran Zelikovich)
