Dinosaur Jr, one of the greatest alternative rock bands around, is scheduled to appear in Tel Aviv's Zappa Club on June 9-10.
The group, which was formed in Amherst, Massachusetts in 1984, broke up in 1997, but the original lineup of guitarist J Mascis, drummer Emmett Murphy and bassist Lou Barlow reunited two years ago and released "Beyond" last May.
Dinosaur Jr. is hailed as one of the most influential bands of the alternative rock movement of the 1990s, exemplified by the success of acknowledged fans Nirvana.
The group is currently touring the US, and will head to Japan in March for three shows in Nagoya, Tokyo and Osaka-shi.
Tel Aviv will be the last leg of Dinosaur Jr.'s European tour, which is scheduled to kick off in May.
