The woman killed in the suicide bombing in Dimona Monday morning has been identified as Liuvov Razdolskiya, a 73-year-old Dimona resident.
Police struggled for hours to identify Razdolskiya, and DNA samples collected from those who were believed to be her family members eventually helped shed light on the mystery.
The difficulty in identifying the woman stemmed from the fact that her husband, also in his 70s, was critically wounded in the attack and has been hospitalized at the intensive care unit at Beersheba's Soroka hospital.
His condition is still defined as very serious – he is on life support and is suffering from wounds to his abdomen, chest and head.
The man himself has not been identified until late Monday afternoon, after his children arrived at the hospital. The police collected DNA samples from the family that enabled Razdolskiya's identification.
