Rightists have terrorist's home in their sights

Tensions high in Jerusalem: While authorities are examining the possible legal implications of destroying the home of the terrorist who carried out the attack on the Mercaz Harav yeshiva in Jerusalem, several right-wing groups announced Wednesday that they intend to destroy the murderer's Jabel Mukaber home themselves.
“After the massacre of eight young men at the Mercaz Harav yeshiva, the very flagship and stronghold of Religious-Zionism, we will come to destroy the home of the murderer ourselves, and expel both his family and supporters,” the leaflet read.
Leaflets entitled "we end the mourning period and take action" were distributed across Jerusalem Wednesday, signed, among others, by the Komemiyut organization as well as the ‘Women in Green" group.
Attack Aftermath
Less than a day after publication of reports that rabbis are granting halachic sanction to harm Arabs, various right-wing rabbis publish circular urging followers to ‘fight the enemy tit for tat’
The rightist leaflet urged supporters to meet Sunday at the Armon Hanatziv promenade adjacent to the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Jabel Mukaber, and to proceed from there to the terrorist's home. “In light of the complete incompetence of the political authorities and their inability to at least destroy the murderer's home and expel his relatives and supporters, then we must take matters into our own hands as emissaries of the Jewish people.”
Yeshiva leader warns students
However, leaders of the Mercaz Harav yeshiva where the terror attack took place said they object to any acts of revenge. The head of the yeshiva, Rabbi Yaakov Shapira, convened his students Tuesday after a tense confrontation with Education Minister Yuli Tamir, and warned them not to take part in any acts of retaliation or revenge for the massacre.
The rabbi told the students that several of their classmates had confessed that they wanted to take it upon themselves to destroy the mourning tent erected at the terrorist's home, and that the yeshiva rabbis emphatically believe that this is not the students' battle to fight. He also warned them not to break any laws or take part in any vigilante action targeting Arabs.
