Report: 10 million people to live in Israel by 2030

The Central Bureau of Statistics issued a forecast for the Israeli population, noting that 9.6 million to 10.6 million people will live in Israel by 2030.

According to the forecast, the Jewish population will constitute about 72% of the population, and the Arab population will comprise about 24% of the Israeli population. The number of people aged 65 and up is expected to grow from 693,000 in the end of 2005 to 1.4 million in the end of 2030. (Yael Branovsky)
