The United Torah Judaism held its weekly meeting in Beitar Illit, just southwest of Jerusalem, Sunday. The party conferred with local officials on the overall halt put on construction projects in the are since October 2006.
"Olmert is stifling us," Beitar Illit Mayor Meir Rubinstein told them. The party is expected to bring forwards a motion of no confidence in the government on Monday, based on the construction freeze. Shas is expected to hold a similar meeting in the city on Monday. (Neta Sela)
