Tokyo: 14 injured in daylight stabbing spree

A man went on a daylight stabbing spree in downtown Tokyo on Sunday, knifing at least 14 people, a Japanese fire department official said.
Five of the victims were in cardiac arrest and it was unclear if they would survive, Toshiyuki Miyake, a spokesman for the Tokyo Fire Department, said Sunday. Police detained the suspect, Kyodo News agency said without giving further details. NHK said the suspect drove his truck into a crowd of pedestrians and then went on a stabbing spree. (AP)
