A private Yeti Airlines plane crashed Wednesday while landing in the Mt. Everest region during foggy weather in Nepal, killing 14 tourists from Germany and Switzerland and three other people, an airport official said.
The plane took off from the capital, Katmandu, and hit a boundary fence while landing at Lukla airport, about 185 miles (300 kilometers) to the east, said Mohan Adhikari, general manager of the Katmandu airport. (AP)
