The Peres Center for Peace is celebrating its 10-year anniversary, and a number of international stars have been invited to take part. Among the celebrities who have confirmed their participation are Argentinean singer Mercedes Sosa, Italian singer Andrea Bocelli, and the famous guitarist Slash.
The gala is scheduled to take place on October 27, at the Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center, as part of a three-day convention. Actresses Kathleen Turner and Anouk Aimee are also slated to participate in one of the convention's debates.
The evening is scheduled to kick off with a VIP event including artists from Israel joining the international guests. Liel Kolet, who worked with Slash on her most recent album, is slated to sing 'Ray of Hope', a song written by President Shimon Peres, together with Andrea Bocelli.
The Peres Center for Peace stated that the other events scheduled to take place over the three days include the inauguration of a new center in Jaffa and visits to the center's project locations.
