Iranian military official: We've created 40km range air-to-air missile

Iranian Air Force Commander Hassan Shah-Safi announced on Monday that his country has manufactured heat-seeking air-to-air missiles and plans to test such a missile on Monday. According to Shah-Safi the missile has a range of 40 km, which Iran plans to increase to 100 km.
Shah-Safi added that Iran has also completed the preparatory stages of the construction of a new elusive jet, and expressed hope that within six months, after the necessary experiments, the production stage of the new jet will begin. (Dudi Cohen)
