Talansky acquitted of NY dentist assault

A key figure in the corruption probe that spurred Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's resignation has been acquitted of assaulting a Long Island dentist. A Nassau County District Court judge ruled Tuesday that

prosecutors hadn't proved that Morris Talansky attacked Dr. Leonard Barashick in a 2007 dispute over dental work.

Talansky, a American businessman and rabbi, says he is "grateful to the Almighty and to my defense attorneys."  (AP)
