"From its humble beginnings 32 years ago as a modest folk music festival geared primarily to the English speaking community in Israel, Jacob's Ladder Folk Festival has evolved into a three-day music extravaganza with appeal to thousands of both Anglos and Israelis from teenage to sixty plus oldtimers."
That's how one critic in Israel described the immensely popular Jacob's Ladder Folk Festival last year. The Festival is held bi-annually at Nof Ginosar, a beautiful setting situated alongside the Kinneret.
It has evolved into a musical and social event for lovers of all aspects of folk music from Bluegrass to World Music; from Irish Jig to Country Rock; from Blues to Renaissance.

Activities for all the family are conducted on six different stages plus additional activities. For the upcoming Spring Festival which takes place on May 7, 8 and 9 this year two new activities have been included.
1. Learn to play a guitar in one session.
2. Learn to tap dance like Fred Astaire.
An imposing list of international artists has already confirmed their presence at Jacob's Ladder Spring Festival this year.

As one highly satisfied patron said: "It took us 30 years to attend our first festival, but it won't be our last. All the music was enjoyable, much of it was excellent. The atmosphere, too, was very special. Kol Hakavod."
