Ruth Yaakov Ensemble 

An authentic, moving, virtuoso performance that reflects the lifestyles of Spanish Jewry through women’s eyes. Romances, love songs, wedding music, bawdy songs, and folksongs in Greek, Turkish, and Ladino.

Barrocade Ensemble

An Italian feast of modern Neopolitan folk songs together with selections by baroque Neopolitan composers Pergolesi, Scarlatti, Paisello and Cimarosa. The Barrocade Ensemble will be joined by soloists Amalia Ishak, soprano; Natai Zori, violin and Jacob Reuven, mandolin.

Israel Kibbutz Orchestra and the Israel Sinfonietta Be’er Sheva

Combined performance with two fine orchestras under the direction of Yaron Gottfried and Doron Salomon. Featured soloist is world-famous pianist Alexander Korsantia who will play Rachmaninov’s Second Piano Concerto. Also on the program, Tchaikovsky’s Symphony Number Six, the ‘Pathetique’.

Elisete-Brazilian Carnival with Blazing Torches

Program: The best hits of the bossa nova, the samba, the xote and a variety of carnival beats.

The singer, Elisete, a native Brazilian, will be singing dance beats with a dance troupe.

Israel Camerata Jerusalem 

A profane program of largely sacred music with the Israeli premiere of Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel’s Cantata ‘Hiob’. Also on the program are Psalms by Aharon Harlap, Felix Mensdelssohn’s Psalm 42 and his Italian Symphony Number 4. The Camerata is directed by Avner Biron with guest soprano Efrat Carmoush. Choirs performing are the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance Choir and the Tontine Ensemble.

Israel Philharmonic Orchestra 

One of the world’s most exciting conductors, French-born Ludovic Morlot will be joined by celebrated French pianist Jean Yves Thibaudet in a program with a decidedly French influence. The program opens with Messiaen’s ‘L’Ascension’ and includes Caesar Franck’s great Symphony in D-Minor and the Piano Concerto Number 2 by Franz Liszt.

Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra
