Dedicated folk singer

Lauren Ornstein (Laurie) picked up her first guitar from a Sears and Roebuck mail order catalogue when she was barely a teenager. Now, more than 45 years later she has just released her first CD featuring the song ‘Time Flows Backwards’.

Laurie certainly has perseverance and the will to overcome the many difficulties she experienced along the way has finally paid off handsomely.

Her first song will be launched at Fiddler’s Green Festival in County Down, Northern Ireland this month. Later, she will return home to Israel and has already scheduled four folk concerts in August and September 2009.

In addition to performing folk music Laurie also does workshops for both teachers and singers. You can contact her on 08 653 2080. Or mail her on [email protected]

She’d love to hear from people interested in house concerts, especially.
