NIS 15M to be invested in FOX Home chain

Fashion company approves plan to launch textile and home accessories chain. Three to five stores expected to open in 2010

The FOX fashion company reported recently that its board of directors had approved a plan to launch a chain of stores by the name of FOX Home. The chain will specialize in textile products and home accessories.

According to the plan, FOX is expected to open three to five stores in commercial centers in 2010. The financial investment in the opening of these stores is expected to total about NIS 15 million (about $4 million).

The company will consider expanding the chain as times goes by, and will decide whether to open new stores in accordance with the success of the first ones.

The FOX company operates a chain of fashion stores in Israel and worldwide. It owns the Sack's and Billabong brands and part of the Laline chain of stores.

In the home textile field FOX will be competing against chains like Golf & Co., Home Center, IKEA, ACE, Hamashbir Lazarchan and DOMO, and against private stores. This market is considered a saturated market, which includes a variety of products like kitchenware, beauty appliances, sheets, towels, etc.
