Planet Time to produce watches for Lee Cooper
Wristwatches manufactured and marketed by Israeli company to be sold in all of British brand's stores worldwide
Israeli Planet Time Group has won an international franchise to produce and manufacture a collection of watches for British fashion company Lee Cooper.
The marketing of the watches' summer collection began in Israel in July, and by the end of the year the fashion watches are slated to be sold in all of the brand's stores worldwide.
Planet is expected to invest NIS 1.5 million (about $386,900) in the process of penetration into the local market, which will include national deployment, setting up sales points in Lee Cooper Jeans stores and a launching campaign comprised of billboard signs, benefits and newspaper ads.
The watches will be marketed in the brand's stores worldwide as a complementary product for Lee Cooper's fashion line. In Israel the watches will be sold for NIS 679-1,299 ($175-335).
Lee Cooper was founded in Britain in 1908 and specializes in jeans. The company has 400 stores in 70 countries worldwide. It's main franchiser is Concept Shivuk, which operates 48 stores in Israel, Serbia, Romania and Ukraine.
The Planet Time Group is owned by Eliyahu Hollander and Jacques Beer , who also own the Tempo company. Planet Time is the exclusive importer and marketer of watch brands, including Hugo Boss, Dolce & Gabbana, Guess and Festina, and also owns the Olam Hashaonim chain.
