Green. Concert in Tel Aviv
Indie singer Adam Green to perform in Israel
Tel-Aviv's Barby club to host Jewish-American musician for single performance on October 12
Israeli audiences are in for another Indie concert, this time from Jewish-American musician Adam Green who will perform in Tel Aviv's Barby club on October 12.
Concert goers will have to part with NIS 169 (roughly $45) to see Green. There is also the possibility of purchasing a joint ticket for an extra concert of the Icelandic group Mum which will perform in the club the same month, for NIS 319 (approximately $85).
Green will be brought to Israel by the Nerja production company.
Brooklyn-based Green, 28, started his musical career in the band "The Moldy Peaces" alongside singer Kimya Dawson, who also visited Israel and has gathered a large fan base following the inclusion of many of her songs in the soundtrack of the highly popular film Juno.
Green parted ways with the group to launch a solo career and has released five solo albums to date. The singer struck a mini-hit with the song "Jessica" which was written jokingly about American pop singer Jessica Simpson.
In recent months Green has been hard at work on his next album. He is considered extremely popular among college students in the US and Europe, and will tour the European continent until the end of October at which time he will land in Israel for a single performance.
