Poll: Intel best workplace in Israel

BdiCoface ranking of workplaces in high-tech industry finds HP considered second best place to work in country, followed by IBM; Google down to fourth place

Intel has once again been defined the best workplace in Israel, according to a ranking of workplaces in Israel's high-tech industry conducted by BdiCoface. Hewlett-Packard ranked second, up six spots from last year's poll, while IBM remained in the third place.

Google Israel fell to the fourth place after coming in second last year, replacing Microsoft, which sank to the seventh place. Motorola climbed four spots to the fifth place on the poll, despite the fact that it fired dozens of workers over the past year.

RAD Data Communications reached the 10th place this year, up 10 spots from 2008 and surpassing Cisco and Comverse, which were not included in the top 10 this year. Taldor reached the 18th place, climbing 15 spots from last year's 33rd place.

Comverse fell to the 17th place from last year's seventh slot, apparently in light of four waves of dismissals carried out in the company in the past two years. AudiCodes saw a significant decline from last year's 27th place to this year's 40th place.

The ranking is based on votes of high-tech workers from the entire population of workers interviewed (more than 12,000 respondents), internal organizational surveys and employer surveys.

The respondents were asked about their preferred employment options, which were mainly in the high-tech and technology fields.
