Former German Economy Minister Lambsdorff dies

Otto Graf Lambsdorff, a former economy minister who represented Germany in the negotiations to set up a compensation fund for Nazi-era slave laborers, has died, his son said Sunday. He was 82.

 

Lambsdorff died unexpectedly on Saturday in a Bonn hospital, Nikolaus Graf Lambsdorff said. He gave no further information. Chancellor Angela Merkel called Lambsdorff an "outstanding human being and politician." (AP)
