Minister Hershkowitz: Closing Har Bracha yeshiva may backfire

In a letter addressed to Defense Minister Ehud Barak, Science and Technology Minister Daniel Hershkowitz (Habayit Hayehudi) protested the plan to shut down the Har Bracha yeshiva in the West Bank.
"As someone who is strictly opposed to insubordination in the IDF, I believe that shutting down the yeshiva may broaden the phenomenon and result in a disaster for the IDF and the State of Israel," the minister wrote. "Some may view such an act as hostile and be encouraged to support insubordination." (Roni Sofer)
