Police release 33 right-wing activists from Jericho Synagogue; 2 remain in custody

The police on Sunday night released 33 right-wing activists that were arrested earlier Sunday after they refused to leave the Naaran synagogue in Jericho.

The activists were questioned after violating military orders and entering a Palestinian city. Police said that they will file indictments against all of them. Two of the activists remain in custody for allegedly assaulting an IDF officer and a Border Guard officer during the evacuation of the synagogue. (Efrat Weiss)
