Palestinians fired on an IDF post on Route 443, near the West Bank city of Ramallah at around 8 pm Tuesday.
No injuries were reported in the attack.
According to initial details, a vehicle pulled over by the post and some 20 shots were fired from within. The car then fled to a nearby village.

Security forces canvassed the area and found several shells. According to military sources, there have been nine similar shooting incidents in the area in the past year.
In December, the High Court ordered a restriction on Palestinian travel on Route 443 be lifted.
The ruling was harshly criticized by right-wing elements, which warned it was an invitation to terror.
MK Yariv Levin (Likud) said that "Israeli citizens are once again being asked to serve as the proverbial sitting ducks. I urge the government to debate a bill I submitted concerning the problem caused by the court's decision on the highway."
