Olmert 'wanted' posters plastered around Tel Aviv

Font used similar to that used in Wild West wanted posters. Remains unclear who is behind act

Who is behind campaign against Ehud Olmert? In the past 24-hours, posers featuring the former prime minister with the English text: "Wanted" have been popping up all over Tel Aviv.

The new initiative comes amid Olmert's absence from Israel, as reports and rumors circulate about his possible involvement in the Holyland corruption affair.

Olmert has adamantly denied any connection to the case, saying, "I have never taken a bribe", and has claimed he was the victim of a blackmail attempt in the affair.

In response to his claim of blackmail, a senior police officials said, "Katsav also claimed he was blackmailed."

Olmert's associated said he did not report the blackmail attempt to the police at the time because he had no faith in the system.

The posters that were hung throughout Tel Aviv were printed in black and white, with the text "Wanted" written in English. The font used was similar to that used in wanted signs in the Wild West.

It remained unclear who is behind the initiative.
