Waiting for Shula: Ehud Olmert's former Bureau Chief Shula Zaken will likely be detained and interrogated after returning to Israel from the United States, a senior law enforcement official told Ynet Wednesday.
Zaken's home was searched about a week ago, in her absence; investigators seized several documents which they said tie her to the Holyland scandal.
Olmert's former aide "will have to provide explanations regarding the documents" given the nature of the materials recovered by police, the senior source said.
Earlier Wednesday, Zaken's attorney said his client will be back in Israel in the coming days. At this time she is suspected of taking a bribe and mediating in bribery payments in connection with the Holyland corruption case.
The attorney also denied reports regarding contacts between Zaken and officials aimed at turning her into a state witness. The State Prosecutor's Office also denied the reports.
