Clinton cites long-term US commitment to Afghans
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is assuring Afghan President Hamid Karzai that the U.S. will remain committed to Afghan security long after U.S. combat troops have departed.
Clinton welcomed Karzai to the State Department to kick off a series of closed meetings aimed at smoothing over differences and discussing a strategy for eventually ending the war. (AP)
