7camicie fashion chain coming to Israel

Italian retailer specializing in tailored men's shirts signs franchise agreement with Yuvalim holding company to market brand in Jewish state

Foreign fashion brands keep pouring into Israel. Italian clothing chain 7camicie, which specializes in tailored men's shirts, is the latest European retailer planning to open stores in Israel.

Albert Amit, owner of the Yuvalim company, signed a franchise agreement with the Italian chain to market its products in Israel. 7camicie translated means "seven shirts" – one for every day of the week.

The company was founded by David Hassan in Rome in 2001, where its flagship store is located. The chain has a total of 300 stores in 14 countries worldwide, including in Europe, China and Lebanon. It was recently published that its annual UK earnings alone amount to a whopping $60 million.

The chain specializes in tailored men's shirts in various styles and designs. Its catalogue offers a variety of 900 different shirts.

Yuvalim is a holding company specializing in the development of malls, commercial centers and various retail ventures including inside hospitals. It plans to open 7camicie stores in its shopping centers around Israel.

"I was looking for a unique niche which doesn't require large spaces. There is shortage in the men's shirts category in Israel. Out target audience are businessmen, haredim, but also a younger crowd looking for going-out, fashionable shirts."
