Elie Wiesel: Holocaust winner?

Fox News mistakenly combines 'Holocaust survivor', 'Nobel Prize winner' in one label during interview

Author and Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel was mistakenly declared a "Holocaust winner" by the Fox News network during an interview last week.

Wiesel was being interviewed on kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit, in an effort to raise awareness for the cause during the holiday season.

The interview went well but for a single glitch – underneath Wiesel's name the label "Holocaust winner" appeared, instead of Holocaust survivor.

The mistake was a product of Fox's desire to label the author a Nobel Peace Prize winner as well as a Holocaust survivor.

Once realizing their mistake, Fox News editors removed the clip from their website. No official response has been made by the network, but one of its employees referred to the error as "technical".
