Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman told Yisrael Beiteinu members that the party would have to advance certain bills "even at the price of disbanding the government."
Channel 10 reported Wednesday that during a closed Yisrael Beiteinu meeting, Lieberman told members of his rightist faction that it would have to "go all the way" on a number of issues, including the IDF conversion bill.
"A decision must be reached on this matter, and this decision may exact a heavy price. If we pass this law in its second and third readings, the price may be the dissolution of the government," Lieberman was quoted as saying.
It is not clear when the meeting took place.
Lieberman added, "We (Yisrael Beiteinu) cannot go to elections without making good on our promises to the voter. Our goal is to secure 20 mandates in the next elections. Anything else would be a bonus."
