Israeli president visits Real Madrid players during training session, receives shirt with his name on it from captain Iker Casillas
President Shimon Peres
was the guest of the Real Madrid soccer club during a training session Thursday, and had some photos taken with the Spanish team's players.
Peres, who spent his visit to Spain voicing concerns over recent developments in the Arab world, got a chance to smile and relax on as he met with the soccer stars.
The president was photographed with coach Jose Mourinho, footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and other players, and even received a Real shirt bearing his name from captain Iker Casillas.
This wasn't the first time Peres got to meet the footballers from Madrid. About three years ago, the Peres Center for Peace organized a match between Real Madrid and a peace team comprised of Israeli and Palestinian players at the Ramat Gan Stadium.

After wishing Ronaldo and his friends success, the president went back to the political issues. "Israel will be more protected if its neighboring countries are democratic and don't have dictators, as they have been until now," he told local reporters.
