VIDEO - More than a decade has passed since Josie Katz recorded new songs. Last year, the beloved Israeli-American singer celebrated her 70th birthday, and she recently returned to the recording studio with musician Nathan Slor, the grandson of renowned poet Nathan Alterman.
Slor's second upcoming album includes a song with Katz in English, her mother tongue. The song, "After All the Love is Gone", was written by Slor and his musical partner, Jasmin Even.
Now, especially for Ynet, Slor and Katz gathered at Tel Aviv's Levontin 7 club to perform the new song for you. The two are joined by Even on keyboard and Tom Kelner on cello.
Slor's new album, which will be released in the next few months, was written entirely by Slor and Even and produced by Eli Abramov. Other artists featured on the album include Roni Alter, Eran Tzur, Mika Karni, Quami and Ofer Bashan.
In the meantime, enjoy the performance and touching meeting.
After All the Love is Gone
(Music and lyrics: Nathan Slor and Jasmin Even)
After all the love is gone
Rising hands around me
Shirtless men and painted boys
Side by side, all alone
Red light
Walking through a city I don't know
Dancing on a stage of endless shows
Smoke machines in my eyes
No one hears when you cry
After all the love is gone
Diving into music
Taxi runs through city streets
Through the night
Through my heart
Red light
