Elbit Imaging invests $500M in India
Israeli conglomerate announces plan to develop residential, office and retail projects through its subsidiary Plaza Centers NV
Israeli conglomerate Elbit Imaging has announced its plan to invest $500 million in real estate projects in India, the Wall Street Journal reported last week.
According to Oren Kolton, country director for Elbit, the company entered India in 2006 and has since invested about $400 million to buy land in central and southern Indian states.
Elbit Imaging and its subsidiary Plaza Centers NV want to build a diversified real-estate portfolio in India, the report said, consisting of residential, office and retail projects.
