The prime minister and his wife deserve to go to the movies occasionally too.
Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara arrived at the Cinema City complex in Ramat Hasharon at 2 pm Tuesday, and were seated in the VIP room, which was shut down especially for them.
The two relaxed in their comfortable armchairs, enjoyed some hot beverages and watched Joseph Cedar's film "Footnote", starring Lior Ashkenazi and Shlomo Bar-Aba.
Cinema City confirmed the visit. "We are proud and pleased that the prime minister came to see the Israeli film "Footnote,'" the movie theater said in a statement. "We are certain that he enjoyed a critically acclaimed film.
"The VIP cinema is closed to the public in the afternoon hours, and we opened it for a special screening using security measures. The cinema opens to the wide public at 5 pm, so the visit did not bother anyone."
