David D'Or. 'Music crosses borders and cultures'
David D'Or, one of the most acclaimed Israeli singers, will perform next Sunday at a memorial ceremony for the victims of the 9/11 terror attacks at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
During the event, the singer is expected to meet with Israeli Ambassador to the UN Ron Prosor.
The ceremony, marking the 10th anniversary of the al-Qaeda terror offensive which left nearly 3,000 people dead, is being organized by the American delegation to the UN. D'Or will be accompanied by the New York Symphony Orchestra.

"It's an emotionally moving event, and it was only natural that I would accept the American appeal to perform at the UN ceremony," D'Or said over the weekend. "Music crosses borders and cultures, and has the power to unite and bring people together."
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are scheduled to speak during the event.
The main memorial ceremony, attended by US President Barack Obama, will be held later that day at the World Trade Center site in New York, also known as "Ground Zero".
