
Protest outside the Israeli Embassy in Cairo

A team of five Israeli diplomats, headed by Consul General to Egypt Yaakov Dvir, visited Cairo for a few hours on Tuesday, in search of possible new locations for the Israeli Embassy, Germany's DPA news agency reported.
According to the report, the mission spent only a few hours in the Egyptian capital, exploring alternative locations for the facility.

Israel's embassy building in Cairo was mobbed and ransacked earlier in September, forcing the emergency evacuation of all Israeli diplomatic staff.
According to the DPA report, staffers at the Israeli Embassy in Cairo left Egypt on to Israel via Jordan after their visit.
This was the second visit by Israeli diplomats to Cairo since the embassy riots.
