Reserve troops' widows to get NIS 100,000

Defense Minister Ehud Barak is expected to bring before the government a bill proposing that some 1,800 widows of reserve IDF soldiers who died before 1999 would be granted NIS 100,000.

The bill – the result of a compromise deal reached between the widows and the Defense Ministry – is to be expedited through the legislative process. (Itamar Eichner)
