Israeli singer Ivri Lider and his musical partner Johnny Goldstein, also known as The Young Professionals (TYP), have signed a long-term artist contract with international musical giant Universal Music.
Lider and Goldstein founded the TYP duo in July. Their first single, "D.I.S.C.O" was huge success in Israel and worldwide. In September they released their debut album in English.
Yedioth Ahronoth has learned that the contract was signed between TYP and Universal's Polydor Records, and includes the recording of three albums which will be distributed all over the world.

They never imagined that only several months later they would land an international contract placing them alongside Universal artists like Lady Gaga.
"We recently discovered TYP," said Guenael Geay, Polydor-Universal's marketing director.
"They are the first Israeli artists we have signed with directly."
He added that the duo's first album would be released in France in the coming months, and later on in the rest of the world.
"This is a dream come true," said Lider, adding that Universal officials were the ones who contacted the duo.
"According to the contract we are becoming company artists, just like the world's biggest musicians. Universal is currently working on a sales and marketing lineup for us and starting to plan a world concert tour."
