A Qassam rocket was fired from the Gaza Strip at Israel Friday night, and exploded in a community in Ashkelon Coast Regional Council. No injuries were reported, but a few structures sustained damage.
Earlier, Palestinian sources in the Gaza Strip reported that IDF forces opened fire at an Islamic Jihad military post in the northern Strip. According to the sources, one Palestinian was lightly injured and evacuated to a hospital.
The reports come after four days of relative lull. On Monday night, a Qassam rocket was fired from Gaza and exploded in an open field in Shaar Hanegev Regional Council. No injuries or damage were reported.
Last week, eight Qassams were fired from Gaza, all landing in open fields.
