MTV partners with Arison Group to push good deeds

Global music channel joins Arison Group in campaign encouraging music lovers to upload good deeds videos online

The Arison Group has partnered with Viacom's global music channel MTV to promote an international good deeds initiative, ahead of Israel's Good Deeds Day, set for March 25th.

The Good Deeds Day initiative was launched six years ago by businesswoman and philanthropist Shari Arison through the Ruach Tova fellowship (Good Spirit, NGO).

The joint campaign will encourage MTV's millions of viewers – from 40 different European countries, the Middle East, Africa and Israel – to do a good deed, be it big or small, for the benefit of others.

The campaign was launched on February 13th and will span across a period of six weeks.

MTV and the Arison Group will call for audiences worldwide to upload pictures, videos and stories of their own good deeds or of someone they know via the gooddeedsday-mtv.com website. They will then select the two most inspiring deeds and award the winners a VIP trip to an international MTV event.

Some 140,000 Israelis and thousands more around the world participated in the 2011 Good Deeds Day.

The Ruach Tova fellowship has been working with the Jewish Federation over the Good Deeds Day for the past three years. In 2012, 20 federations across North America, South America and Eastern Europe are to participate in the day.
